Dear AZNA Chapter 2 Member ,

In the March PULSE Chapter 2's immediate past president, Rose Gerber's editorial: What shall it be? Resuscitation or DNR (vol.33, #2), called for each and every member to seriously think about the future of Chapter 2. A "call to meeting" was extended for April 25, 2001.* At this meeting, approximately 12 members discussed possible next steps for Chapter 2. Guests included Jill Rissi, AZNA President, and Marla Weston, Executive Director of AZNA. After much dialogue, there was consensus of the need for AZNA's presence in Tucson, but there was varied opinion as to what "form" that presence should evolve to.

Because the membership attendance was so low, it was decided that all members be surveyed regarding the future of the chapter. This survey is enclosed on a stamped addressed post card. We would like to strongly encourage each of you to take a few minutes and complete the survey.

Sometime in the next few months all AZNA members will be receiving a more comprehensive survey. Your feedback on both this short one for chapter 2 and the statewide are most important in deciding the future of our professional organization.

The elected board members feel a responsibility to the membership.   But without your input our accountability is a very ill-defined goal.

Please return the postcard, with your comments, by June 25th, 2001. We would greatly appreciate any and all additional comments that will help us formulate and reach chapter goals. And if you would like to serve in any capacity please contact one of us.
